First-year Scholars' begin their first full day as Terps with a day-long service activity with their Scholars program. Service Day is a 25-year-old annual tradition in Scholars, giving freshmen a way to build community with their peers while being in service to the community—the Greater College Park community that is home to the University of Maryland.
