Program Associate; Science, Discovery and the Universe
Benjamin Miller is a Program Associate with Science, Discovery, and the Universe, as well as Program Coordinator and Collections Manager at Dinosaur Park in Laurel, Maryland. Originally from Maryland, Ben earned a B.A. at Grinnell College and an M.A. in museum studies and paleontology at the University of Kansas. After cutting his teeth during a series of internships at the National Museum of Natural History, Ben has gone on to teach in numerous other museums and at the University of Kansas. Meanwhile, ten years of paleontological field experience has taken him to localities like Laetoli, Tanzania, and the Petrified Forest of Arizona. Ben is interested in science education, especially the communication and exploration of concepts like evolution and deep time. His research is focused on the historic, cultural, and aesthetic dimensions of natural history exhibits. Ben’s other interests include fine art, traveling, wildlife, and cat videos.
