Admission to College Park Scholars is by invitation, but we welcome inquiries about our program and the admissions process. We make decisions on applicants based on their University of Maryland application file.

  • Invited Students Page: Students invited to College Park Scholars should visit this page
  • Self-Nomination Page: Students not invited to College Park Scholars who wish to be considered for admission into Scholars should visit this page.
  • Waitlist Page: Students invited to College Park Scholars who want to request to switch programs or students who did not complete the Interest Inventory by the February 14, 2014 at 11:59pm deadline should visit this page.

If you would like to learn more about College Park Scholars in person, come visit us! We will have information sessions at every University of Maryland Admitted Student Open House program. Admitted Student Open House programs are campus-wide informational sessions that will offer you many opportunities to learn about different campus offices and departments. At the College Park Scholars information sessions we provide an overview of the Scholars program as well as a student panel, typically consisting of current College Park Scholars and alumni. If you cannot make one of these days, we would be happy to set up an individual appointment at a time that is more convenient for you. Just call our office at 301-314-2777 if you would like to make an appointment.
