Tess Van Orden, freshman Scholar in Earth, Life & Time, presented a poster at the 68th Annual Meeting of the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology in Cleveland, Ohio. Her poster was on "Ungual bone preservation and taphonomy in Metaxytherium crataegense (Sirenia: Dugongidae) from Calvert Cliffs, Maryland, U.S.A. (Miocence, Chesapeake Group)" and based on research conducted with Stephen Godfrey of the Calvert Marine Museum during her senior year in high school.
