My Freshman Year in Scholars

A note from Executive Director Marilee Lindemann
I’ve been on campus since 1992, but 2014-15 has been my freshman year in College Park Scholars. Like most freshman years, my first year as executive director of Scholars has been a whirlwind of new experiences, challenges, and relationships.



No Stupid Questions: What You Didn’t Know About Program Director Thomas Holtz

Dr. Thomas R. Holtz is the director of College Park Scholars Science and Global Change and is the longest serving faculty director of any Scholars program. He has a deep love for dinosaurs, his favorite being the Tyrannosaurus Rex, and a sparkling enthusiasm for sharing this love with others.

Scholars Award $7K to PG County Nonprofits

Scholars from the domestic violence fundraising group presented $3,884.32 to Asjoure Brown from House of Ruth at the final Public Leadership colloquium ceremony.
Freshman Public Leadership Scholars presented $7,132.57 to two organizations focused on domestic violence and human trafficking in Prince George’s County on May 6 with members of the county government in attendance.
