Guide to Holiday Giving
College Park Scholars
As we approach the end of the calendar year, Scholars is very appreciative of those members of our community who wish to make gifts of financial support to the program. Alumni, parents, faculty and staff, community and corporate partners, and friends of the program allow for us to deliver our high quality programs, and assist us in continuing to grow College Park Scholars. Although we receive these gifts throughout the year, we still receive a significant number of requests around year-end gifts. If you are considering such a donation, either as a repeat gift or for the first time, we have created this guide to holiday giving to assist you through the process. If you cannot find the information you are looking for, please contact Kevin Baxter, our Assistant Director, at your convenience. Where other Support may be Directed
Scholars is happy to direct your gift to support the area of your choice. Please consider any of the following areas to support:
- Where College Park Scholars need is the greatest;
- College Park Scholars co-Curricular Scholarship;
- Director's Fund for Excellence;
- College Park Scholars Alumni Association;
- Student Leadership Development;
- Undergraduate Research;
- Support of Curriculum Innovation;
- Cambridge Community Center;
- Any of our twelve Scholars programs.
For more information on each option, please visit the area of our giving site which details what your gift can do. Whichever option you select, please make note of it in the memo field of your check so we can ensure that the gift does go to the appropriate area.
How to Make a Gift
If you have interest in supporting College Park Scholars with any gifts, please contact Kevin Baxter, or choose one of the following options:
- You may send a gift by check. In this case, please make the check out to UMCP Foundation and indicate the category you wish to support, if any, in your check's memo field, next to 'College Park Scholars'. Gifts made by check without a notation beyond the program name will go toward supporting College Park Scholars greatest needs.
- You may make a gift online, through the University philanthropy site. Please select College Park Scholars as the fund and enter the area you'd like to support in the comments field.
