Charity Softball Tournament Fundraising Information

May 3, 2008

Each program will select a local children's charity for which they will play during the tournament. In order to be able to register a team for the tournament, each program will have to contribute a minimum of $1.00 per Scholar in the program. Members of the College Park Scholars Student Advisory Board will be coordinating the fundraising efforts in each program.

We will update this page as funds are received. When a number appears before a program, such as:

1) Advocates for Children

That indicates that the program has successfully registered for the tournament and has been assigned their seed. Seeding for the tournament is based on the order in which programs register - the earlier you get your money in, the higher your seed. The advantage of an early seed is that the top four seeds receive a first-round bye on May 3, which means that your team won't have to arrive to play as early as the other teams. So pay up and sleep in!
