| Metropolis: the Art of the City Metropolis took place on Maryland Day, April 27th, 2002 and transformed the Cambridge Community Quad from 1 to 4 PM into a bustling city of the 1940s. Featuring about 150 freshmen and sophomore arts scholars in vintage '40s costumes, the scholars recreated many aspects of urban culture.
